The power to live life and pass life onto others, rests in the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

When we are able to communicate the work done at the cross and WHY this was necessary, we will be an effective Witness, a Soul Winner.

Much like being a witness in court, a witness is simply someone that testifies to what they know.

In this case you are testifying to Who you know and What He, Jesus Christ, Has done.

You have met the Lord of Lords and can testify to your experience with Him. Being forgiven because of His death, being found blameless in the sight of God because of His resurrection and becoming righteous by faith when you believed in Him.

Your testimony, what you Witness about, is Him, Jesus Christ.

 "And what He has seen and heard, that He testifies…" John 3:32

Often times we hear testimonies of how a person used to act. How bad a person they were before they met Jesus, how He changed their life and the things they are now doing.

This will encourage others that already believe, but the power to be an effective witness is testifying to that which Christ has done for the world through His death, burial and resurrection. To offer the invitation He extends to everyone to receive life from His sacrifice.

Faith to believe comes from hearing about the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. When the Gospel of Jesus Christ is shared and those words are spoken, the words become spiritual seed deposited into the heart of the hearer.

The Holy Spirit then convicts a non-believer of their sin and their need for a Savior. The Holy Spirit then gives the hearer faith to believe.

"...they overcame by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony..." 

Rev 12:11

Witnessing is sharing personal knowledge of the saving grace in Jesus Christ and why His sacrifice was and is, so vital to obtaining eternal life.

A witness will testify to the good news and abundant Life that is given to everyone who calls upon Jesus Christ.

"I Am the Way, the truth , and the Life." John 14:6
