As a believer, you have been set free from any and all legal obligation for righteousness through the gift of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, witnessing is not about the obligation of the believer.
Every believer CAN witness because of Who now lives in them, its not a question of requirement or obligation.
The Giver of all things, now resides within the heart and soul of every believer. Every believer has become one spirit with God through Jesus Christ.
As a result of the Giver living within us, it is a Natural response for us to be givers also, just as He Who lives within us has given. It is now part of our Super Natural Nature to be givers.
God is love! Therefore, we have the very embodiment of love residing within us. God came in the form of Jesus Christ, not to be served, but to serve. This is the very nature of God, which is to serve and now resides inside our being as believers.
"...the water I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life" John 4:14
By giving to others, the good news we have found in Jesus Christ, we are releasing the power of God within us. We should be conscious of the fact that we have been changed. Therefore, things we are capable of doing now are much different then they used to be.
When we witness, we open ourselves to experience life, love and the person of Jesus Christ in a much deeper, intimate dimension.
Witnessing is a conscience decision we make from the confidence we have in the power and promise of Jesus Christ.
Giving life, love and power in Christ to others, is as natural to our new nature as breathing is to our body. If we would be willing to step outside of what we presently know and be willing to allow the Spirit of God to lead us into the Un-Known, there is much we can learn and experience.
The very beings we have now become, long to be released, giving and sharing life with others, because of Who now lives in us.
Witnessing is not about trying to obtain something for ourselves, but rather, from the heart of the love of God within us, to share the very essence of life. To share of the abundance we have freely inherited in Christ.
"We love because He first loved us." 1John 4:19
God freely shares with us all things that are His and He rejoices to see us do likewise. We can experience great joy through selfless giving. Especially when it is about connecting someone to the very source of our joy.
"...perfect love casts out fear" 1John 4:18
Darkness is thrilled to imprison a part of our new life being, through their lies. When fear, intimidation or ignorance succeed to deter our witness, we are robbed from the joy that awaits us in that moment of opportunity to give.
God intends for us to expand into the fullness that He has given to us through faith and faith causes us to trust Him in areas we know nothing about.
As He leads and we follow, we experience more of the life, love and power of Jesus Christ.
