Grow in the Knowledge of Jesus Christ
As a Believer in Jesus Christ, we realize that He is the total embodiment for life. He is our salvation, wisdom, righteousness, supplier and Lord.
As a result, we grow in the knowledge of His involvement in our daily lives.
Paul encouraged Timothy to pursue the purpose the Lord has given him and not to be concerned about the mundane affairs of life, like what to eat, where to sleep or how to be clothed.
As a soldier knows these things will be supplied, the soldier focuses greater on the purpose he serves.
Believers have obtained righteousness and salvation. They have a growing confidence that God supplies all of their needs.
The focus of the believer eventually becomes greater in faith toward God, than the things that perish. Their focus becomes the same purpose as that of Jesus.
To seek the well being of others and to share the reason for their hope and faith. All believers grow in this knowledge and confidence continually. We don't strive to grow, we grow effortlessly as we grow in the knowledge of the finished work of Jesus Christ.
Communicate the Reason for Our Hope
There is an eighteen inch conversion that is required to receive the hope of salvation. Eighteen inches is the distance between our head and our heart.
When we stop trying to figure it all out with our head and open our heart to God, suddenly we are filled with revelation of His existence and the reality of the world He intends for us.
We enter and walk by faith in God, through Jesus Christ.áAs we walk, God reveals to us His perspective, which is reality. These revelations come through the Holy Spirit and may take some time to put into words. But as we are challenged with why we believe, what we believe, we learn to communicate the realities we have come to know about Jesus Christ.
God establishes the five fold ministry (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors and Teachers)á to help us communicate the realities He reveals to each believer. By doing so, we become more effective in sharing our faith with others. This is not to replace faith with knowledge, rather to support the revelation of Jesus Christ and establishing understanding in truth that can be communicated.
Be willing to Give Others, that which We have Freely received.
People will long remember the way you may make them feel, long after they have forgotten what you have done for them.
This is in direct proportion to what a person believes in their heart. What ever a person believes in their heart, will have a direct impact on what they feel.
The heart is where every decision and thought originates from. Once a person believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, their heart will be grounded in Christ, Who is truth and they will discover the peace of God established within them.
Only through the Holy Spirit can these thoughts find the answers, comfort and direction they need. Everything else is a feeble attempt to gain life apart from Christ.
Having a relationship with Jesus Christ ourselves and then being able to communicate this relationship with others, will give others the opportunity of entering a relationship of their own.
Grow in Boldness
As we grow in our understanding, we become more confident to share with others about our faith in Jesus Christ. The limitations we place on ourselves will be overcome with boldness as we begin to experience the value of Who we know.
We grow in boldness effortlessly as we experience personal encounters with our living Savior. As we face the daily obstacles of this life, we find His faithfulness and truth to be timely and sufficient to overcome the calamities that try to limit our boundaries to live.
When we challenge these through the knowledge of Christ and trust Him more than what appears to be reality, we glance back in time, only to find God is bigger than all of it combined. Most importantly that God is with us and FOR US!
The more we experience this, the greater our confidence becomes. The greater our confidence becomes, the bolder we are to share about Who we know, Jesus Christ.
Address the Opportunities that Confront Us
As a believer, you will find many opportunities to share your faith. With these opportunities come developments to your own personal growth, faith and confidence in Jesus Christ.
Make no mistake, what you believe will be tested by the devil, encouraged by the Lord and there will be circumstances that may cause you to doubt your beliefs. As you face the opportunities, be encouraged to follow your heart with what the Holy Spirit directs you to do. Trust the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart.
Over time, you will learn to discern the voice of the Holy Spirit, but you need to have enough confidence to begin. There is a high probability that says you will fail in many attempts to be obedient to the Holy Spirit, but be encouraged to know, that Jesus paid the price for all those mishaps.
Walk in the confidence that Jesus has paid the price for every sin, including the times that you fail to respond to the direction of the Holy Spirit. Part of your battle will be to denounce every voice of condemnation that would try to discourage and disqualify you as a Christian and follower of the Jesus Christ.
There is no condemnation that comes from Jesus or the Holy Spirit. Neither will He cause you to feel condemned or disqualified.
Everything Jesus did, was done to secure your salvation and qualification. Jesus sacrificed His life for ours. The Holy Spirit seeks to remind us of this continually. So as you walk and grow in your obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit, stay confident in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, not your success to hear the Holy Spirit or your obedience. This will keep any short coming you may experience from robbing you of your faith and confidence. You will discover this simple truth to empower you to continue.
Take advantage of every opportunity to share your faith and watch how the Holy Spirit will use you to make a difference in the lives of others concerning the Kingdom of God.
