We may have an opinion to who we think we are, we might have believed the opinions other people have of us, but the opinion that should always decide what we believe of ourselves is the opinon God has of us.

According to God, I am...

...forgiven - "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace." (Ephesians 1:7); "In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." (Colossians 1:14)

...born again - "For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God." (I Peter 1:23)

...a new creation - "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, (s)he is a new creation." (II Corinthians 5:17)

...the temple of the Holy Spirit - "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?" (I Corinthians 6:19)

...delivered - "For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves." (Colossians 1:13)

...redeemed from the curse of the Law - "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: 'Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.'" (Galatians 3:13)

...strong - "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power." (Ephesians 6:10)

...holy and without blame - "For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight." (Ephesians 1:4)

...adopted - "He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will." (Ephesians 1:5)

...a saint - "I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints." (Ephesians 1:18)

...qualified to share in His inheritance - "Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light." (Colossians 1:12)

...victorious - "But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

...dead to sin - "Count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus." (Romans 1:12)

...growing in Him - "So then just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." (Colossians 2:7)

...His disciple - "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:15)

...secure - "[you are] built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the chief cornerstone." (Ephesians 2:20)

...not in want - "And God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)

...possessing the mind of Christ - "...But we have the mind of Christ." (I Corinthians 2:16)

...promised eternal life - "I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life." (John 6:47)

...sealed with the mark of the Holy Spirit - "And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession -- to the praise of His glory." (Ephesians 1:13, 14)

...promised a full life - "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)

...victorious - "For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." (I John 5:4)

...protected with God's peace - "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:7)

...chosen and dearly loved - "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." (Colossians 3:12)

...blameless - "He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." (I Corinthians 1:8)

...set free - "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)

...crucified with Christ - "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." (Galatians 2:20)

...alive with Christ - "But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions -- it is by grace you have been saved." (Ephesians 2:5)

...raised with Christ - "Having been buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him through your faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead." (Colossians 2:12)

...a light in the world - "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden." (Matthew 5:14)

...called of God - "[God] Who has saved us and called us to a holy life -- not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time." (II Timothy 1:9)

...near to Christ - "But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ."

...more than a conqueror - "In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." (Romans 8:37)
