Love Fest | Gatherings | Clubs

Love Fest - Who doesn’t enjoy food, especially when it’s brought to their house, served and cleaned up by others.

Well that’s what love fest is. Where you reach out to someone in your community that is needing to know they matter and are important to someone.

There are many elderly shut ins. They can’t get around like they used to and don’t have the means or finances to go and do many things.

So as a gesture of love, you alone or with others can prepare a meal, maybe a gift basket, set up a time (best not to go unannounced) and bless them with a “Love Fest.”

You can be as creative as you want. It doesn’t have to start or end with a meal. Maybe someone needs a helping hand with yard work, house cleaning, painting a room or cleaning out their garage.

Whatever happens to be laid on your heart, when you see the need, rise with confidence and a willing heart and reach out to your community.

Gatherings - A gathering is an informal gathering of believers that come together and sponsor an evening to host a party where non-believers can come together in a neutral environment.

It’s a night of fun, food and sharing. It can be as large or as small as would fit the occasion. The main component is inviting others that have yet to hear or accept the good news.

Through some course of the evening, if at all, have a short moment, maybe 10 minutes to share the gospel.

Usually leave it at that, but if you feel the Holy Spirit’s prompting, give an invitation to the attendee’s to receive Christ.

Usually in this ice breaker, it’s a time of getting acquainted with seekers. It takes the mysticism out of our relationship with Jesus Christ and helps them to feel the desire to seek God.

Clubs - This is always fun and stirs a local community.

Pick a day of the week and for a set period of time, maybe 3 months, set up a simple make-shift coffee and pastry stand in a convenient location.

Give away coffee and pastry in the early morning rush hour as people are leaving for work. They can drive up to your little stand, maybe nothing more than a table with a few chairs and receive their coffee, prayer and a tract or a bible.

Monday mornings are a good way for someone to start off a week or maybe hump day is the best, Wednesday, right in the middle of the work week.

Do a little research and see what’s the best day for your neighborhood.

You will be the talk of the neighborhood. It’s a great ice breaker and people will begin to listen to your message. Have fun!
